The kitchen's biggest appliances deserve the same design attention as its countertops and cabinetry.
A modern kitchen is judged by more than its cabinetry and countertops — the refrigerator and dishwasher take up real visual space, and how well they're chosen and placed shapes how the whole room feels. Designing with DAMA starts by treating these larger appliances as part of the kitchen's architecture, not as afterthoughts bolted on once the design is finished.

Let refrigeration anchor the room
A side-by-side refrigerator is one of the largest surfaces in any kitchen, so its finish matters. A brushed, light metallic front reflects the room around it rather than competing with it — which is exactly why it works as well against a quiet neutral wall as it does against a bold cabinetry colour. Built-in ice and water access keeps daily routines fast without adding another appliance to the counter.

Give the dishwasher a proper place
A freestanding dishwasher doesn't need to be hidden to look considered — positioned in its own bay, with a clean control strip and a finish that echoes the refrigerator beside it, it reads as a deliberate part of the kitchen's layout rather than a utility squeezed in wherever there was space.

Design for the life around it
The best kitchens are designed around how a family actually uses them: an open sightline to a table where breakfast happens, a view worth keeping unobstructed, appliances placed so no one has to cross the room mid-conversation to reach them. Choosing DAMA appliances that share a consistent finish and control language makes that open, unfussy feeling easier to achieve — the kitchen stays the backdrop, not the subject.
